The ACP program provides discounted broadband service to eligible consumers in the US.

The Federal Government’s Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is operated by the FCC to reduce Internet charges for qualifying low-income households.

Here at PTM ACP, we are proud to serve all qualifying households that participate in government programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, and more. You may also qualify by income. You will receive FREE talk, text, and data service with this program!

School District Eligibility

Households with a student who is eligible for free or reduced-price meals under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or the School Breakfast Program (SBP), including children who attend schools participating in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), are automatically eligible for this benefit. School districts that participate in the Community Eligibility Provision are uniquely positioned as their entire community is automatically eligible for the ACP.

School districts are uniquely positioned to help unconnected families overcome the barriers that prevent them from accessing affordable broadband programs. By implementing outreach programs to help families enroll in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), school districts can reduce the inequities faced by students without home broadband connections.

On Nov. 15, 2021, President Biden signed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (PL 117-58) into law, which established the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP).

All households with a child who was approved to receive free or reduced price meals under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or the School Breakfast Program (SBP) within the last 12 months, including children who attend schools participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), are eligible for ACP benefits. Households are also independently eligible if (1) their income is at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level ($55,500 for a family of four); or (2) a member of the household participates in certain other federal benefit programs—including, among others, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), Medicaid, and Federal Public Housing Assistance.

To lower the cost of the internet further, the Biden-Harris Administration has secured commitment from internet service providers across the country to offer high-speed plans that are fully covered by the ACP. As a result, millions of working families can now get high-speed internet without paying a dime.
